Joel I. Wagman, MD to Roxborough’s Urgent Care

Philadelphia, PA (April 28, 2023) ––Roxborough Memorial Hospital’s Urgent Care announces the appointment of Joel I. Wagman, MD, board-certified in Family Medicine, and he has a certificate of added qualifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine and Family Medicine in Hospital Medicine.

In his new role, Dr. Wagman will work alongside a team of diverse, experienced professionals with a strong passion for providing community-based care.

“I am looking forward to continuing to provide quality care to patients in the community who require urgent care services,” said Dr. Wagman. “The urgent care industry is constantly evolving, and I am excited to be a part of it.”

Dr. Wagman has been in medical practice for over 30 years, practicing a broad spectrum of both internal medicine and family medicine. For the first 18 years of his career, he practiced at Saint Joseph Family Medical Center in Merrimack, New Hampshire. He then became Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire, and served on the New Hampshire Academy of Family Medicine board. He has worked at Northern Montana Hospital Family Medicine in Havre, Montana, as a primary care physician and hospitalist, and most recently, working as a hospitalist for the Jefferson Health System at Aria Health in Philadelphia and Covenant House Health, Inc., also in Philadelphia.

Dr. Wagman earned his undergraduate degree from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. He went on to earn his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Wagman completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, and then completed his family medicine residency at Reading Hospital and Medical Center in Reading, PA.

Dr. Wagman treats a wide range of acute and chronic conditions for patients of all ages, including health maintenance, prevention, disease management, and care coordination.
