Roxborough Memorial Hospital Donates Thanksgiving Meals to North Light Community Center
Philadelphia, PA (11/17/2023) – On Friday, November 17, Roxborough Memorial Hospital’s employees and North Light Community Center came together to donate Thanksgiving baskets to residents in the Philadelphia area. Each basket was complete with all the fixings for a tasty Thanksgiving meal, including mashed potatoes, vegetables, stuffing, gravy, napkins, rolls, pastries, pies, and a bottle of sparkling cider.
“I’m proud of the colleagues at Roxborough Memorial Hospital for going above and beyond for our food basket drive year after year,” said Leslie Finnegan, Radiology Director of Roxborough Memorial Hospital. With each basket, we are not only helping families access nourishment; each basket is an opportunity for community members to share a holiday meal with loved ones, which can positively impact mental and emotional health as well.”
For most families, the price of groceries has drastically changed how they celebrate the holidays. For those struggling, donating a traditional Thanksgiving meal can help turn their holiday into a joyful one. Over the last couple of years, Roxborough Memorial Hospital has committed to helping families of local neighbors during the holiday season.
Finnegan added, “We are proud to partner every year with North Light Community Center to donate Thanksgiving baskets to the community.”
