Roxborough Memorial Hospital Celebrates Good Neighbor Day
Philadelphia, PA (September 30, 2021) —Roxborough Memorial Hospital and Roxborough Memorial Hospital School of Nursing celebrated Good Neighbor Day by providing a free health fair in the morning with door prizes, flu shots, and refreshments.
“We are proud to serve this community and hosting an annual health fair allows us to bring our mission to life in a fun and engaging way,” said Burt Piper, chief executive officer of Roxborough Memorial Hospital. “We are committed to improving the health of the Philadelphia County, and provide wellness education and tools that can lead to better health.”
Piper added, “he was touched by the support of the community.”
In addition to the many residents of Roxborough, also in attendance were State Representative Pam DeLissio’s office, and, county, and local governments, and non- profit agencies.
“we continue to be committed to our community and Good Neighbor Day has been an annual event for the last 6 years and Flu program has been in place for 25 years. Our goal is to encourage the community to be proactive about their health and to make it a priority. Preventive care is so important because it helps you stay healthy and access prompt treatment when necessary,” said Paulina Marra-Powers, EdD, MSN, RN, dean of education of Roxborough Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.
