New Cardiologist Joins Suburban Community Hospitals Medical Group
East Norriton, PA (August 31, 2021) – Dr. Mohamad Taha, a board-certified cardiologist trained in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, has joined Suburban Community Hospital’s Medical Group.
Dr. Taha has advanced specialization in coronary interventions, peripheral interventions, and is a leading expert in advanced mechanical support, percutaneous pulmonary embolectomy, heart and rhythm disorders, including congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, vascular disease, and critical limb ischemia.
“I am very excited to join Suburban Community Hospitals Medical Group, in East Norriton, PA” said, Dr. Taha. “My goal is to provide high-quality care for patients with cardiovascular disease.”
Dr. Taha added, “It’s not always about prescribing a medication. It’s about developing a connection, a bond with patients, where they can trust me, and I can trust them.”
Dr. Taha graduated with honors from American University of Beirut, in Lebanon, in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then obtained his Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Microbiology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, in 2008, and was named the University President’s Honor Roll and Dean’s Honor List. While at the University of Central Florida, Dr. Taha was a member of the Tau Sigma Academic Honor Society. He then completed his Doctor of Medicine at St. George’s University Grenada, in West Indies and Great River, NY., in 2013. While at St. George’s University Grenada, he was a member of the Epsilon Alpha Medical Honor Society. After completing his doctorate degree, Dr. Taha completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University of Florida, in Jacksonville, in 2014, where he performed advanced research in the field of antiplatelet therapy. He then completed his internal medicine residency at UPMC Pinnacle in Harrisburg, PA, in 2017, and he continued his training as Chief Cardiovascular Fellow at Danbury Hospital – Yale University School of Medicine, in Connecticut in 2020. He completed his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, PA in 2021.
Dr. Taha published many peer reviews and abstracts.
