Volunteer Positions Available
- Emergency Services Patient Ambassador: Welcome families and visitors, assist with navigation, and support non-clinical tasks like restocking supplies.
- Facilities Maintenance Volunteer: Assist with clerical duties, including answering phones, copying, filing, and restocking supplies.
- Floor Hospitality Volunteer: Deliver newspapers, magazines, and books to patients.
- General Clerical Support Volunteer: Provide clerical assistance to various departments.
- Hospitality Volunteer: Greet patients and visitors, offer information and directions, and assist as needed.
- Laboratory Courier: Handle stat pickups and deliveries, along with some clerical tasks.
- Medical Records Volunteer: Sort and file loose medical reports.
- Nursing Units Volunteer: Assist with meal tray delivery and return, restock supplies, engage with patients through reading or games, and run errands as directed by the clinical team.
- Patient Transport Volunteer: Safely transport patients to testing departments and medical areas while ensuring cleanliness and safety.
- Pharmacy Volunteer: Serve as a courier and assist with general departmental duties.
- Same-Day Surgery and Surgical Waiting Room Liaison: Provide a supportive environment for patients and families by offering snacks and beverages (with nurse approval), stocking shelves, and performing clerical duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Complete an application to Volunteer Services
- Participate in an interview with the Volunteer Services Team
- Successfully complete all onboarding health and background clearances
- Attend New Volunteer Orientation
- Obtain a volunteer identification card.
