The Senior Behavioral Health Unit (SBHU) at Roxborough Memorial Hospital is a 24-bed inpatient facility dedicated to serving adults aged 65 and older. We provide voluntary behavioral health services for short-term stays, addressing conditions such as depression, psychosis, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our compassionate team focuses on patient-centered care, creating a supportive environment that fosters healing and empowers patients with effective management tools.

Senior Behavioral Health Unit at the Suburban Behavioral Health Campus

The SBHU at the Suburban Behavioral Health Campus features a 15-bed inpatient unit for adults aged 55 and older, offering similar voluntary services. Our approach extends beyond immediate treatment, emphasizing education for patients and families to support ongoing recovery. We collaborate to develop healthier coping strategies and comprehensive follow-up plans.

The SBHU is designed to educate patient and families to better manage their conditions and ongoing recovery by developing healthier coping skills and a safe and secure follow-up plan for post discharge care.

Senior Behavioral Health Program offers patients:

  • Anger and Stress Coping Skills
  • Medication Education
  • Family Education

Senior Behavioral Health is appropriate if you, or a loved one is experiencing an escalation or worsening of ongoing symptoms of any of the following:

  • Depression
