How to Apply
The Internal Medicine Residency Program at Roxborough Memorial Hospital utilizes the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) for the residency application process. We welcome applicants who meet our specified requirements and are eager to join our residency family.
Application Requirements
Applications are accepted exclusively through ERAS; paper applications will not be considered. The following qualifications must be met:
Graduates of Medical Schools:
- Must be from a medical school in the United States or Canada accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME).
- Must be from an osteopathic medical school accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
Graduates from international medical schools must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a currently valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
- Have at least six months of U.S. clinical experience, which may include observerships, externships, or research.
- Have graduated from medical school within the last five years.
Examinations:
- Successful completion of USMLE Steps 1 and 2 (Clinical Skills and Clinical Knowledge) or COMLEX Steps 1 and 2 (Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination).
- Minimum passing scores are as follows:
- USMLE: Step 1 – 214, Step 2 – 220
- COMLEX: Step 1 – 500, Step 2 – 520
Employment Requirements:
- All residency candidates must fulfill the employment requirements set by Roxborough Memorial Hospital.
