Engaging with Our Community: Programs and Events
The Roxborough Family Medicine Residency Program deeply values community engagement and actively participates in initiatives that benefit our local population. Our residents are not only healthcare providers but also dedicated community members, committed to improving health and wellness beyond the clinic walls.
Pediatric Christmas Party
Each holiday season, our clinic proudly hosts a cherished Pediatric Christmas Party for our patients and their families. This festive event brings joy and cheer, offering children the magical opportunity to meet Santa Claus and receive a special present. Beyond the excitement of Santa, children are invited to engage in creative crafts and play, while parents can browse and select items from generous clothing donations. A delicious meal, kindly provided by local vendors, completes this heartwarming holiday afternoon outing for the entire family. This cherished event is made possible through the generous donations and unwavering support of our medical staff, current residents, alumni physicians, and local community vendors.
Health Promoters Program at Saint Patrick’s Church
Roxborough Family Medicine resident physicians actively participate in the local Health Promoters Program, held monthly at Saint Patrick’s Church in Norristown. This vital program provides essential health screenings for both parish and wider community members, focusing on crucial indicators such as blood pressure and glucose readings. Patients who present with abnormal findings receive immediate medical guidance and are offered the invaluable opportunity to schedule follow-up medical care at our office, often at no additional cost under the program. This initiative underscores our commitment to preventative health and accessible care for underserved populations.
