MISSION

The mission, philosophy and goals of the Roxborough Memorial Hospital School of Nursing are consistent with those of Roxborough Memorial Hospital.The nursing faculty are committed to the education of students, application of nursing knowledge, and the promotion of health and provision of quality health services.

The mission of the School of Nursing is to educate qualified individuals for nursing practice.

Graduates are prepared to function as entry-level professional nurses, to meet the health care needs of society in a dynamic health care environment including acute, intermediate, long term, ambulatory and home care settings in accordance with the Pennsylvania Professional Nursing Law. The mission is carried out in an atmosphere that promotes learning, teaching excellence, scholarship and community service. The School of Nursing is supported through collaboration with Roxborough Memorial Hospital, the Department of Nursing Services and other healthcare affiliates in the metropolitan area.
